At Western Sydney Solar Team, we are a student led team of passionate innovators who are pushing the limits of renewable energy. Our aim is to design, engineer and manufacture a safe, efficient, and cutting-edge solar powered car that uses new and emerging technologies. As we go on this journey together, we're constantly teaching and learning from one another, building skills, taking constructive steps towards a more economical future. We take great pride in our determination to push the limits of solar technology and our ability to work cohesively as a team. Our team values are: Passion, Respect, Efficiency and Purpose. We have a rich 10 year history, with 4 cars to date. We have placed 6th out of 43 international teams during our 3rd time competing in the Bridgestone World Solar Challenge, which is a 3022km race from Darwin to Adelaide. We've also claimed first place in the American Solar Challenge, beating Michigan Universities 18 year winning streak.
