I'm a 4th year industrial design student that is studying and working full time. I have juggled both for the past 4 years which I'm pretty proud of. I got interested in Industrial Design through my love of sketching and hope to work in the field of children's toy design. When sketching designs I love to take inspiration from my surroundings and influences from past designers. Through my years of university I have learned many different things that would definitely help in the success of my future design career and hope to innovate products that make peoples lives easier.
The KidHaler is an innovated asthma puffer designed for the specific measurements of a child. The current inhaler design is currently a one size fits all product which I thought was a gap in the market as an adult can easily operate the puffer but children have more difficulty and need assistance from their parents. Especially since children often require a spacer which is more things to hold whilst trying to trigger the medicine at the same time. Therefore I decided to innovate the inhaler that not only fits perfectly in a child's hand but also have a larger surface area for the button to make it easier for a child to grip and press all on their own, This will not only make it easier for the child but will also ease the mind of parents/guardians
