This product is based on how first-aid is applied to cruciate ligament injuries for athletes and how it can be most effective in assisting rehabilitation. If first-aid is not applied appropriately, it can further damage and slow the rehabilitation process after injury. Currently, there is no immediate first-aid equipment specialised for knee injuries of any kind. However, the advantages of adding specialised equipment in this area could significantly lower the danger of administering first-aid incorrectly and eventually result in a quicker recovery. Therefore, this research aimed to assist in investigating and designing a standardised first-aid treatment algorithm specific to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries and open a discussion for design interventions to reduce the long-term impacts.
