A student of architecture who has recently completed his first year. His interest in history and culture allows his work to be designed holistically, giving them unique yet functional characteristics. With previous qualifications in building design from TAFE NSW, Angus is constantly looking to achieve and grow within the field of architecture.
Drawing inspiration from the initial design, the home and new public wharf have drawn inspiration from the natural landscape and the style of retrofuturism. The home has established a connection to the lake via a series of cantilevered decks, gradually dropping down to the water's edge. This terraced design acts as a surrogate to transition from the level of the home to that of the wharf. The wharf's design is to be symbolic of the natural landscape, mimicking the curves of the lakeside topography. An unintrusive yet fitting design, respecting the land and the architecture of the home.
