Creativity is much more than just a skill you list on your resume: I believe it's a way of life. I have had the opportunity throughout this degree to experience some of the many types of design that surround us every day. I have a particular interest in UX and UI design because I believe that it goes hand in hand with one of my passions in life, to help those around me.

The L - Case

The L – Case was designed with the intention of helping to train medical students with ultrasound procedures. In particular, cardiovascular ultrasounds.

The development of medical equipment in this area has slowly started to evolve over the years. An innovative ultrasound simulation system has been designed and made for training purposes in hospitals or clinics, to be mobile, used with ease and with minimal setup required. This will enable swift use of ultrasound in urgent clinical situations to the benefit of clinicians and patients alike.

Established design constraints and limitations for the project remained the most prominent parameters when it came to making the final design, informed by the literature. Throughout the process of this project, professionals were referenced and consulted about their thoughts on the emerging product. This research will continue to inform any future work on designs and upgrades to enhance the product.
